ACTIONS I TOOK IN 2016 THAT HELPED ME THAT YOU CAN TAKE IN 2017 TO BECOME BETTER THAN YOUR PRESENT CONDITION BY GT IGWE CHRISENT.
So, this morning, i woke up again and I became so worried about how to break the ice in 2017.
The economy and our environment are not smiling and are not even in line with all the big plans most people have made for 2017. It's good you make big plans, in fact if you ain't scared of the big plans you making for 2017, then am sorry to tell you that you won't make any reasonable difference from where you are at the moment.
So I decided to take a look at the exact strategies I adopted that helped me in 2016 and decided to share since am also adopting some of them again.
SO WHAT ARE THE 2017 ICE BREAKING STRATEGIES?
(1) LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
you tend to remain stagnant the moment you become comfortable with where you are. That is what great speakers like Less Brown and Bob will tell you.
(2) MOVE SOME MILES AWAY FROM FRIENDS/FAMILY AND STAY CLOSER TO LIKE MINDS
You will agree with me that your friends most times will never see anything reasonable from you, your family out of emotions will try to stop you from doing somethings that you dream off.
I remember how I battled with my father for turning down MEDICINE AND SURGERY in Unizik to study Geology in EBSU. Now, it's all history,
I have to move out from Abakaliki because I couldn't find enough motivation in that town. If you don't surround yourself with like minded people, you will at some point get bored or lose motivation due to some issues. So you need inspiration from people in your industry to keep you going during hard times and you also learn from them.
You become better with people like you, make them your friends, it's very important.
(3) REACH OUT TO PEOPLE THAT MATTERS TO YOUR DREAMS.
Reach out to people who influences you your field. Beep them up, if they don't reply, follow them up. You will eventually gain their attention.
Value the information, review, insight, tip they give and don't try to come as their competitor, some of them will be scared to help. I would have mentioned some names here bit I won't because if I do, you will start tracing them one after the other to bug their ass off. If you need them (for those into online marketing, blogging and speaking) then inbox me, I will give you their names.
(4) MAKE FRIENDS WITH EVERYONE.
You don't know who will help you tomorrow, so be good to everyone. Someone I built relationship with on Facebook here, gave me one of the best information few days back and that information has got the potential of making me over 2 million naira every mouth if I implement it.
Help people when they come to you, you will win their loyalty when you will ask them to buy.
Share ideas and don't think you know it all.
Don't snub anyone especially if they need your help, it's true you can't reply every messages and mails but take few moments and attend to the once in need. You will soon need them.
(5) BECOME A TAUT LIKE GT (if you want)
Yes am a taut and so whats the big deal?
True but funny how I will tell you to become a taut. Hahahahaha
Don't get it twisted here, when I say become a taut, I mean don't raise people's hope high about you. Don't let anyone expect much from you. Let them see nothing reasonable in you at first until they get personal with you.
Nigerians are just religious hypocrites and it will break your into pieces if all you do is preach for others to be good and habitable when the people who you stay with you have nothing good to say at your back.
If they must stay any trash, let it's be out of Jealousy and not because your are not a good person to stay with because it will hunt you down one day regardless of the level you think you are.
Don't give a fuck about anybody except your mum and Dad. You need their prayers.
(6) KEEP EMOTIONS OUT OF BUSINESS.
When you go into business with people you know personally, don't get carried away because you care about them. Handle it like business and not a paddy me shit.
Don't use your business capital to solve private needs no matter how pressing it is unless someone's life is involved.
The friends you try to impress from your business are same people that will laugh suicide into you if you eventually fail.
For relationships issues, you are only meant to consider only if you are married because both of you will fall into the pit if business fails.
If you are still dating or engaged, then business remains business because it will shock the tower out of your life as your partner will move on to the next successful person leaving you alone to suffer your downfall.
Business is business my dear.
(7) PAY YOUR TITHES/HELP PEOPLE FINANCIALLY
People like me that don't like giving money to churches because I feel they already have enough, make sure you give out that 10% every month, it's very important, Either to church or charity.
God will bless you more when you use what he gave to help the Church or society.
