'Empire' Star Bryshere 'Yazz' Gray Says 'The Clap Back' Song Is Inspired by Drake vs. Meek Mill: Exclusive Video

In the world of Empire , Hakeem is the fictional version of Meek Mill and his ex's
new man is Drake, actor Bryshere "Yazz" Gray says in a Billboard exclusive.
In last week's episode of Empire , Hakeem put Tiana's new boyfriend Gram
(Romeo Miller) in the corner with his new song "The Clap Back."

"'The Clap Back' is Drake and Meek Mill," he says. "I'm Meek Mill."
Gray describes the diss track as "Hakeem letting Tiana's new boyfriend know,
she ain't going nowhere. She's here to stay."

As Gray raps, "Way too heavy for a weak rapper/ We're with some real hitters,
boy, you with them actors." Gray says his character is "just getting stuff off his
shoulder, letting them know: This is my city. This is my town."
